Everyone's Welcome: The Power of Libraries

The YRL conference brings together staff, managers, board members and trustees from public and school libraries to share ideas, experiences and expertise. We welcome proposals for 75-minute presentations from both inside and outside the library community that explore the many ways in which libraries engage their diverse communities.

Here are some topics that may inspire your submission:

  • Board-related challenges or development
  • Marketing/advocacy
  • Community engagement
  • Customer service
  • Training/online learning/gamification
  • Programming for all ages
  • Emerging technology and trends
  • Rethinking physical space
  • Leadership and management
  • Staff perspectives and engagement
  • School library learning commons
  • Inquiry-based learning

We are pleased to offer workshops on a variety of topics from technology training to library management skills. Workshops can be held in your library or at our headquarters. We offer a variety of regular annual workshops, such as the Summer Reading Program workshop. We will also consider seminars by specific request. We endeavor to provide a range of topics to meet training and informational needs of our members. Please contact Client Services for more information.
