Summer Reading Clubs 2016

The theme for 2016 is Wild! Check back for out the staff section on the TD SRC website for more information.

We have some tools to help you collect statistics:

Registration Tally Sheet - use this to tally the ages of the kids who join, you can ask them if they've joined before. Switch out your sheets once a week or use the same one all summer. This is allow you to easily add up how many kids registered for TD SRC at your library. You can also use this sheet to collect program attendance, just keep two copies, one for registration and one for program attendance. When collecting your program attendance tally, you will count each child in every program and add those up at the end of the summer.

Statistics Preparation - get a head start on prepping your stats with this helpful document. Read through the document first to see what type of statistics you need to collect. If you have questions, please contact Client Services.

2016 TD Summer Reading Club Evaluation - Please complete the evaluation for TD SRC by September 8th.

SRC Collaborative Space - take a look at what other libraries are doing for their summer reading clubs.  Please feel free to add ideas as well as ask questions.  Notes from the discussion at the SRC workshop have been added as well.

2. Hand out to tweens and teens

3. Encourage them to complete as many games as possible throughout the summer. Each completed game is one entry into the grand prize draw. Please keep the forms and send them into YRL at the end of summer. If your teens are submitting electronically, simply take a screen shot of their completed form and email it to
