Tech Tip: Fixing Polaris Reports

If this is happening...

You are working on your Windows computer and select a report in Polaris Reports and Notices and enter all your parameters. When you click "Submit," your cursor spins for a second and then it stops all together and you are back to the Report and Notices window. No report is generated.

Try this...

In the majority of cases, this problem is caused by the date format being used on your Windows profile. Follow these steps:

  1. Log out of Polaris.
  2. In the bottom left-hand corner of your desktop where it says "Type here to search," type in "control panel" and hit enter.
  3. In the Control Panel, in the top right-hand corner, ensure the "View By" option is set to "Small icons."
  4. Select Region.
  5. Under Formats > Date and time formats tab, change the Short date to dd/MM/yyyy or yyyy-MM-dd.
  6. Click the Additional Settings button at the bottom.
  7. Click on the Date tab. Make sure the Short date matches your choice from step five.
  8. Click Apply to set the changes.
  9. Log back in to Polaris and try the report again.
