Mission Statement

Yellowhead Regional Library provides materials and services to public and school libraries, and other organizations, to assist them in meeting the informational, educational, cultural and recreational needs of their communities.

History

Yellowhead Regional Library began operations in January 1971 by providing services to the school and public libraries in the counties of Barrhead, Lac St. Anne, Leduc, Parkland and Wetaskiwin.

As of January 1, 2019, YRL is providing service to a population of 293,532 Albertans in 54 municipalities and 10,822 full-time equivalent students in three school divisions.

YRL headquarters is in the City of Spruce Grove and is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
